The jellyfish flower is a bloom born from the fusion of floral elements and fluid, sinuous lines inspired by the tentacles of a jellyfish. This drawing is the result of a free creative process, unconstrained by rational limits, bringing forth a world of pure emotional expression.
The composition includes various elements: tentacle-like petals, lace-like leaves, a radiant corolla, and a frame reminiscent of the decorative borders drawn in elementary school. The theme of ambivalence—constant in my work—also emerges here: the grounded, earthly element reaches toward the ethereal lightness of the sky.
This drawing is part of the “Playful Fusions” collection, a series of works born from a daily practice: 25 minutes of drawing every morning before starting the day. Each stroke is guided by instinct rather than a predefined plan, which is why the lines may appear irregular, the shapes asymmetrical, and the details imperfect.
Like the others in this collection, this piece is created on smooth 120g sketch paper, with rounded lower corners, and finished with a high-quality passe-partout.
